New mediums of artwork arrive at the non-profit art foundation in Santa Barbara.
This week the Morris B. Squire Foundation transported a number of artworks owned by Mr. Squire from his residence in Chicago, IL to the foundation's office in Santa Barbara, CA. There's a variety of mixed media (yarn sewn into abstract compositions on the canvas), acrylics, watercolors, & more, which will be added to the current database of artwork on morrissquirefoundation.org which holds several sculptures created in a variety of mediums; steel, concrete, fiberglass, & dimensional digital giclee prints.
Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara receives donation from Morris Squire Scholarship Fund
Rachel Scheib was the 2014 Morris Squire Art Award recipient in January. Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara received a gift of $4,000 from the non-profit art foundation. $2,000 of this gift will be added to the Morris Squire Scholarship Fund, and $2,000 will be added to the Morris Squire Art Scholarship Fund. The commitment to scholarships for local students brings positive impact the community.

Painting installation at Youth Interactive, in the Santa Barbara Funk Zone. Flamingo & Whale sculpture to be installed on World Ocean's Day, June 5th, @ Youth Interactive. All proceeds from Vietnamese Lacquer Painting sales go to benefit protecting our ocean.
Morris B. Squire has donated acrylic painting "Model" under a long term loan agreement, to Youth Interactive, a non-profit youth and art foundation located in Santa Barbara, CA Funk Zone region of town. The set installation date of "Flamingo & Whale" is on World Ocean's Day, June 5th, being celebrated in the Funk Zone region of Santa Barbara, on Anacapa St.
"Belly Dancer" replaces Morris B. Squire Foundation's "Flame" at Ventura Government Center.

Morris B. Squire Foundation replaced sculpture “Flame” with “Belly Dancer”, at the Ventura Government Center, located outside the Administration Building. This was made possible from the help of Todd Collart, who has been helping the Ventura County Art Council ( VCAC ), with public art exhibits by VCAC members, and the temporary sculptures exhibited outside at the Ventura Government Center. Sacramento Children's Museum receives donations from Morris B. Squire Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. Sculptures are titled Wave Chair and Letter C.

Wave Chair & Letter C have been installated at the Sacramento Children's museum, October 2012. We're looking forward to see how members of the community in Rancho Cordova & Sacramento respond to the public art display outside the museum. "Wave Chair" is displayed between the museum and Rancho Cordova's City Hall. Please contact the Morris B. Morris' Vietnamese Lacquer paintings and textural canvases, are now being exhibited at the Sacramento Children's Museum, located in Rancho Cordova California. (More Vietnamese Lacquer and art links above). We are pleased to have more artwork on exhibit there, having just installed Wave Chair and Letter C outside of their museum. The Morris B. Squire Foundation, a non profit art foundation from Santa Barbara, CA, concluded its installation of seven " 7 " total sculptures at the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden and Kids' Adventure Garden (beside it), located in Thousand Oaks.
Flame sculpture is unveiled at Ventura County Government Center

Friday, April 27th, the foundation unveiled sculpture "Flame" at the Ventura County Government Center (shown in slideshow below). The sculpture is the beginning of more public "sculptural" artwork displays to be shown in the future at the Ventura Government Center, presented by Ventura Arts Council. MBS Foundation @ Coachella 2012
Our non profit art foundation is providing artwork for Coachella 2012 music and art festival in California. Morris has always been a huge donor for artwork relating to the arts, as well as supporting the Jewish, educational facilities, zoos and other places that benefit from the beautification and wonder of art. Morris anticipates to support the event in 2013 as well.

Musicians sculpture & Basketball Player metal art donated to Christian Camp in Ojai, CA.
Forest Home Christian Camp in Ojai, Calfornia received a series of sculptures "Musicians", donated by Morris B. Squire Foundation as well as a metal sculpture "Basketball Player" an abstract cutout of a basketball, featuring a man making a fast break down the lane with the basketball. The basketball sculpture was installed next to the camp's basketball court. Letter A sculpture installed at sports complex in Arizona.
Morris' "Letter A" sculpture was installed in front of the new Randall McDaniel Sports Complex in Avondale, AZ (near Phoenix). The indoor sports facility hosts to the community and regional sporting events through the seasons. The brightly colored sculpture complements the purple and green accent roof colors and the abstract form of the Avondale's newest sports complex. Morris B. Squire Foundation's Pink Tiger is a hit at Santa Barbara, CA Zoo.
The Santa Barbara Zoo acquired Morris' sculpture "Pink Tiger" during Sept. 2011, installed at the Kallman Play Area on the zoo grounds. The abstraction of Morris' artwork and bright colors brings imagination and interest to the youth visiting the park grounds.
Foundation impacts L.A. California Middle School with 2 sculpture donations.
Palms Middle School in Los Angeles, CA, has recently received 2 sculptures by Morris Bear Squire. "Peace" and "Plate" (photos shown in slideshow below). They were installed on a behalf of a donation provided by the Morris Squire Art Foundation. A great deal of Morris' customers approve that his art be placed where children are present.
