Just when the Arts Council was about to lose its outdoor public art venue, the Morris B. Squire Foundation staff came to the rescue. They must have eavesdropping on our conversations, because they stepped forward without any invitation to see how they could help establish public art in Ventura County. They provided a new piece of public sculpture in a timely manner, thus helping us confirm to the hosting property owner (the County of Ventura) that the new venue was a viable one and would be an excellent location for future public artwork on a rotating basis. We greatly appreciated the conscientiousness of the Foundation staff and their willingness to pitch in and install the new piece. We are proud to have Morris B. Squire's "Flame" welcoming the public the the County's Hall of Administration.
